Long Term Effects of the BP Oil Spill Disaster

Seems like oil has been spewing endlessly into the Gulf of Mexico for months now. Due to BP's numerous mishaps oil is still escaping at a rate 210,000 gallons a day. Some of the immediate effects of this disaster are that thousands of jobs have been lost in Louisiana and Mississippi and now the spill threatens to reach as far as Florida. States are already feeling the backlash as prices for shrimp and other seafood are set to rise as early as this week. The possible long term effects though are even more terrifying. Already numerous sea turtles and other dead marine life are washing up on shore, within five years it is possible the Gulf of Mexico's ecosystem will be unbalanced with animals that predators feed on being killed at a rapid rate. Also the oil will be around for a very long time polluting the water. Even after 21 years the Exxon Valdez, at least 21,000 gallons of oil lye just underneath the surface of Alaska's Prince William Sound. The disperents BP is using themself are very dangerous pollutants. BP's irresponsible behavior will have a negative impact on many aspects of life for years to come. Check back weekly for updates.

Find out who you really are

Don't think Signal Patterns is just another social networking site because it's not. It's more like having your own psychologist and relationship counselor. Developed by 20 psychologists world wide and a team of scientists, Signal Patterns uses a psychological assessment survey to pinpoint specific traits you posses. An example of these traits are: assertiveness, sympathetic, and amiable. Once a pattern is made, Signal Patterns suggest people with similar traits. This is also used to link you with a possible relationship match. Signal Patterns goes even further than that it also has many apps which can be used to improve your quality of life. These apps use the information you have obtained to suggest books, music, and even careers that you may like. Be sure to try it for yourself and comment. Below are my personality and music patterns.

Can cell phones really cause cancer?

For years researchers have tried to determine if cell phone use could cause cancer. After completing a 10-year study, the World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer, determined that there were some indirect signs that prolonged use of cell phones could increase the risk of giloma. Many are scrutinizing these findings. Some researchers believe there are possibilities of inaccuracies such as participants being asked to remember how much they used their cell phones over the decade. Also the results for some groups concluded that cell phone use actually decreased the risk of developing cancer which would seem illogical. So with no chard evidence for or against the cancer debate the question is for the most part unanswered, but it couldn't hurt to cut down on cell phones use just to make sure.
